What is MediaDownloader?

EDIT: Realized I worded the title wrong, it's not a redirect entirely, it's an ad popup that opens in a new tab. So this is an issue I've been dealing with for a while and I'm kinda tired of the anxiety everytime I use mediafire. More or less, I get redirected to an adware popup every time I download something from mediafire. Jul 05, 2019.

MediaDownloader is a rogue application that supposedly allows users to download media files and convert their formats.
